Call for Presenters

EAST® invites you to submit your session and exhibitor proposals for EAST Seminar 2019 in Stuttgart, AR.

EAST Seminar is designed to energize and prepare EAST facilitators for the upcoming school year by providing professional development and networking opportunities in an engaging atmosphere. During this event, facilitators can select from over 60 education sessions, interact with technology and community partners in the Playground, and collaborate with fellow EAST facilitators.

All proposals are reviewed based on applicability, originality, seminar needs, and speaker qualifications. Deadline for submissions is 3 p.m., CST May 31, 2019. Notifications to selected presenters will begin as soon as possible.

Summer Seminar Sessions

EAST Seminar participants choose their educational adventure using the Matrix! Participants optimize their time by choosing sessions relevant to the growth of their program. Each participant builds their schedule in advance by selecting from a variety of sessions including hands-on, presentation style, round table, and even interactive activities.

Playground

The Playground is an opportunity for facilitators to get their hands on some of the technology and software that schools are using in their EAST environments, as well as time to visit with potential community partners. The best part is that participants can earn professional development hours just by exploring the Playground!

Tech Camp Sessions (Optional)

Get some tech credits you can really use! New this year - each track is a full day, in-depth hands-on training covering the technologies, software, and best practices participants need in their EAST environment! Only registered EAST Seminar participants may attend.

Industry Tour (Optional)

The Industry Tour provides tools and inspiration to enhance project possibilities and expose students to STEM careers and real-world applications of EAST pedagogy. Participants will leave with tools to organize industry tours for their students, and strategies to enhance program experiences through industry partnerships. Only registered EAST Seminar participants may attend.
